Flipping through the cable news stations on the most historic election night I foundthat CNN had the most gizmos to show what was happening. The Magic Screen, a touch screen computer, was pretty amazing. States would shrink or expand to show what the counties were doing. At the touch of a button the screen would show the 2000 or 2004 electoral map. Two fingers swiped across a section of a state would highlight a path or the area that had trended one way or another for this or that candidate. Amazing to watch and makes me wonder… how in the world do they make that magic happen.
